Wasn't even sure it was gonna power up. However, apparently I make pretty sturdy computers, because it booted up no problem. Next issue--where the fuck are the hard drives I edited these blus on?
Well, I lucked out because I almost NEVER put anything on the main hard drive of my edit computers--only thing on them are the programs I use to edit. This is how you keep your machine running fast.
But it turns out that I kept my project files for encore on the main drive here. I can load them up and look at them.
Thing that doesn't make sense is, one of the issues on one of the blus is that the main movie ends, and then it just restarts. I thought, I must have forgot to set the end action on that timeline.
In the project, though, I didn't. I had added another chunk at the end of the main timeline that was an in memorium for one of the actors who's died, but the timeline remains the same. Says it should return to the main menu, highlighting the next menu item under the Play Movie choice.
So I gotta look at that, and I still want to take one last look at whether I can get a better version of T2 the movie on that disc.
Weird part is, when I try to open any of the projects on my old edit computer, it says "Project is corrupted" with some other stuff, but it won't load them. At all. If I take them over to my new laptop, I can load them. I have to immediately save them to the newer format, but it works. (after I relocate the assets)
So that's where I am now.
I also went out to dinner with the other two creators of Ttory--they were gonna meet anyway, and invited me. I told them I have nothing definitive to report, but we shot the shit and I told them exactly where I was at. Finished script. Just decided to start breaking it into a shooting script.
THAT's complicated, because the first scene takes place in a house, and I'm thinking, "Fuck, I've basically used every house I have access to in my other flicks..."
Dunno.
