Becoming a Hermit

Was supposed to go to that book festival thing in PA this past weekend. Two reasons: Had some stuff to give the lady who runs it, plus there's a Fuddruckers right there and you know I love that place. (and none are left in my state)

The Malf had said he'd go, but as usual he backed out last minute. I was still planning to go until I found out it only runs until 3pm on Saturday. I've never heard of a con ending that soon, and given that it's almost a 2 hour drive, I wasn't planning on arriving until around 1:30pm.

So Friday evening I basically said fuck it, not going. Ended up watching a movie with the kid and wife(Planet Terror), and finished off Skeleton Crew. Clearly aimed at younger audiences, it's entertaining but I don't love it.

If I was 10-14 years old, though, I probably would have. I think it's a step in the right direction for the Wars though.

I find the older I get, the more I just want to stay home and do nothing. I'm not sure if it's a product of being older, or if it's simply that when the weekend comes around, I'm tired from working and would just like to relax.

I put together the video for the crowdfunding thing for the T1/T2 blu ray. It's not great but it's probably better than staring at me while I pitch the whole thing. It took me an obscene amount of time to do.

But it occurred to me that I really have to go in and watch EVERY piece of these blu rays to make sure I'm okay with them. If I get 1000 burned and there's an issue, that's a lot of money to flush down the toilet.

And yet! I don't wanna watch these movies AGAIN.

I think I'll see if my kid wants to watch them with me. He's only seen small pieces of Ttory 1 back at the premiere, and he was only like 12 years old or something. This way maybe I won't zone out while watching them again for the 1000th time, and he'll get to see them.
