I just looked at the totals for the last couple of years. I was just curious how many posts I did compared to last year. And strangely, it's exactly the same number(73)...which is exactly the same number as the previous year.
So for three year's straight, without trying, I've done the same exact number of posts. Looks like different amounts for each month, but in the end it all added up. Seems weird to me.
For New Years we got out to the restaurant--the steak joint we like. There were five of us, but we got seated almost right away because we got there early, like 4:45pm.
Server was great this time, but the steak wasn't as good as usual. Parts of it were kinda chewy--like, no fat, but I chewed and chewed and it didn't really do anything. Total opposite of last time.
Then off to the casino, which is not my favorite place. And boy, were the machines stealing money tonight. Usually you can play on a machine for a little while until you ultimately lose it all. Not tonight--everybody just lost money fast.
I had a good bit of cash on me, but I stopped after the first forty disappeared. Fuck. That.
After they'd had their fill, we went home. Ate some snacks and watched the ball drop.
Boring, but it's always like that. I think the wife and family just try to do their best to forget all the people who are dead that we used to spend New Years Eve with. I get it.
Well, here's to the new year, though I'm betting it's gonna be bad.
